World Mental Health Day
Students and faculty marked World Mental Health Day on the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change”, with talks, creative displays and messages of hope. Chief guest: Dr Anitha Jyothi Chili, Principal.
World Suicide Prevention Day
An awareness session for students on recognising warning signs, talking openly and helping someone in distress to get support. Chief guest: Dr Kamran ul Haque, Emergency Medicine Specialist, Max Hospital, Delhi.
International Nurses Day
On Florence Nightingale's birthday, students and faculty celebrated the nursing profession with a tribute to the Lady with the Lamp, a cake-cutting and student posters. Chief guest: Gauhar Haque Sahara, Managing Director.
Government of Bihar Award
AHS Nursing College was honoured as Best Mentee Nursing College of Bihar, and for taking INC affiliation.
INC Affiliation in the News
Newspapers across Samastipur reported that AHS Nursing College has received recognition from the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for B.Sc Nursing, GNM and ANM — a milestone for nursing education in Samastipur and North Bihar.
Visit of the Civil Surgeon, Samastipur
Dr Sanjay Chaudhary, Civil Surgeon-cum-CMO, Samastipur, visited AHS Nursing College and AHS Global Hospital. He was welcomed by the college team and toured the wards and hospital facilities where our students train.
Visit of Dr Asim Das, Additional Director
Dr Asim Das, Additional Director, Government of Bihar, visited AHS Nursing College. Welcomed by the college team, he toured the classrooms, nursing labs and corridors, and saw students at work.
Inter-Team Rangoli Competition
On Independence Day, student teams created rangolis on themes of nursing and healthcare — including “Nurses are the heart of healthcare”.
National Doctors' Day
Students and staff honoured the doctors of AHS Global Hospital on National Doctors' Day with a cake-cutting and a felicitation. Chief guests: Anzarul Haque Sahara, Chairman, and Dr Iqbal Md Sami, Member, Bihar Minority Commission.
Visit of the Hon’ble Chancellor
Ahmad Ashfaque Karim, MP (Rajya Sabha) and Chancellor of Al-Karim University, visited the college and hospital, including the wards and NICU.
Happy Teacher's Day 2024
Students celebrated Teacher's Day with a decorated hall, a floral tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, cakes and gifts for their teachers. Chief guest: Gauhar Rizvi, Managing Director.
National Nutrition Week
Students prepared and displayed healthy diet charts and nutritious dishes, and the celebration was covered in the local press.
Independence Day 2024
AHS Nursing College celebrated Independence Day in a hall decorated in the tricolour, with patriotic performances by students and medals for students. Chief guest: Anzarul Haque Sahara, Chairman.
